Notes:

·          Phil Gressman scratched for the night after warm-ups, as did Jack Pillon.

  • Donny Schatz changed engines after warm-ups.
  • Rocky LoPresto hit the wall and flipped in turn 1 on the first lap of heat race #4.
  •  Jeff Mitrisin flipped in turn 3 on the second lap of heat race #4. Mitrisin was transported to the hospital for observation with a possible back injury.
  • Wayne Johnson was leading the C-main when he dropped out with mechanical problems
  • Daryn Pittman and Tim Shaffer used provisionals to start the A-Main.
  • Ed Neumeister scratched from the A-main, allowing first alternate Kevin Swindell to start the event. Kevin Swindell flipped completely over the wall and catch fence in turn 2 while lining up for the A-feature. Swindell was uninjured.
  • Second alternate Brian Paulus was added to the A-main field following Swindell’s flip
  •  A-main Lap 1—Steve Kinser got the jump off of turn 4 to take the lead, with Jason Solwold taking 2nd from Sammy Swindell low in 1&2. With 1 lap complete, caution for Cody Geldart, who spun in turn 1
  • Lap 4—Kerry Madsen passed Chad Kemenah for 5th low in 1&2
  • Lap 6—Tim Kaeding (started 12th) passed Brooke Tatnell for 7th low in the backstretch. With 6 laps complete, caution for Rob Chaney, who stopped in turns 3&4. Under caution, Greg Wilson dropped out after hitting the wall in turn 2 on the previous lap.
  • Lap 7—Tim Kaeding went to the top in 1&2, passing both Chad Kemenah and Kerry Madsen to get 5th
  • Lap 8—Kraig Kinser took 3rd from Jason Solwold on the top exiting turn 2. With 8 laps complete, caution for Sammy Swindell (2nd at the time), whose right rear tire exploded in turn 2. Swindell pitted, but was unable to restart due to suspension damage.
  • Lap 15—Tim Kaeding passed Kraig Kinser for 2nd on the top in 1&2
  •  Lap 20—Craig Dollansky passed Jason Solwold for 6th low in 1&2
  •  Lap 25—Steve Kinser’s lead 1.6 seconds over Tim Kaeding
  • Lap 29—Steve Kinser’s lead .4 seconds over Tim Kaeding
  •  Lap 30—Steve Kinser won by .7 second
