2020 All HammerDown! Team

2020 All HammerDown! Team – December 30, 2020. Rocklin, CA. HammerDownUSA.com, today, named the 2020 All-HammerDown! Team. Kyle Larson, the Champion of the Racer’s Racing Series, heads the list of the 40 driver “team”. The All-HammerDown! Team includes drivers that finished in the top 40 in HammerDownUSA.com’s, Racers’ Racing Series point standings. Points are awarded for a 60-race schedule of big-race events. Drivers must finish in the top eleven positions in an A-Feature to score points. This year there were 133 drivers that earned points at the biggest races in the United States. There was a tie for 40th place so 41 drivers made the team this year.

“The schedule was a big challenge with the COVID-19 pandemic wiping out races left and right”, said Bobby Gerould, editor of HammerDownUSA.com. “We kept adjusting and we finished with 59 races that counted toward All-HammerDown! status. The year Kyle Larson had behind the wheel was truly jaw-dropping. The fact that he races midgets, sprint cars, and champ-dirt cars is exactly what being a racer’s racer is about.”

Two drivers continued their streak of making the All-HammerDown! Team in each of the 18 years since the honor was created in 2003. The legendary duo is: Daryn Pittman, and Donny Schatz.  Six drivers made the All-HammerDown! team for the first time in their careers: Cap Henry, Buddy Kofoid, Anthony Macri, Austin McCarl, Cannon McIntosh, and Dominic Scelzi.
