2025 All-HammerDown! Team Release –

HammerDownUSA.com is proud to announce the 2025 All-HammerDown! Team, honoring the top 40 short track open-wheel racers in the United States. This elite group is led by Rico Abreu, the champion of the 2025 Racers’ Racing Series.

Drivers earned their place on the All-HammerDown! Team by finishing inside the top 40 of HammerDownUSA.com’s Racers’ Racing Series standings, which were determined over a demanding 60-race schedule featuring many of the nation’s most prestigious and competitive events. To score points, a driver had to finish inside the top eleven of an A-Feature. In total, 157 drivers earned points in 2025.

“It was a remarkable year,” said Bobby Gerould, editor of HammerDownUSA.com. “There were nine races that paid $100,000 or more to win. Of the 60 events on the points-paying schedule, 51 paid at least $20,000 to the winner.”
Donny Schatz extended his unmatched streak as the only driver to be named to the All-HammerDown! Team every year since its inception in 2003, marking 23 consecutive selections.

Three racers earned first-time selections in 2025: Chase Dietz, Tanner Holmes, and Sye Lynch. This year’s roster reflects an extraordinary age range of talent — from 19-year-old Ryan Timms to 60-year-old veteran Lance Dewease.
