HAUDENSCHILD TO COMPETE IN MOPAR THUNDER EVENT

Center Line, Mich. - Jac Haudenschild, the winner of last year's Mopar

Million Sprint at Eldora, has officially entered the Mopar Thunder event to be held

August 7, at the famed Eldora Speedway. Haudenschild will drive the No. 6M,

owned by Jamie Miller. The highly anticipated event will take the place of the

Historical Big One for the 2004 racing season.

"We're excited to come back and compete in the Mopar Thunder event this

year," Haudenschild said. "We're running both winged and non-winged races this

season, and we think we've got a good chance to do well in this year's event.

We're going to run the two winged races on Thursday and Friday with the All-Stars

and Outlaws, and we know we'll be in good shape on Saturday night in the

non-winged race."

The Mopar Thunder event boasts a $50,000 payout to the top finisher in the

A-main feature event, and will pay $2,000 to all 26 A-main starters. With a

total purse of $166,600 dollars, the event will attract some of the best sprint

car drivers in the world.

The outstanding weekend of open-wheel racing at Mopar Thunder will kick off

with the All-Star Circuit of Champions on Thursday, August 5, followed by the

World of Outlaws on Friday. The Mopar Thunder at Eldora, featuring the USAC

National Sprint Cars, will wrap up the events on Saturday.
