Nextel
Cup Driver Jason Leffler is pleased to announce the merger of Leffler Racing
and BK Motorsports with driver Bud Kaeding. Together they will join forces to
tackle the tough USAC National Sprint Car Series as well as the pavement
events on the USAC Silver Crown Series in 2005.
Kaeding has raced on the USAC circuit since 2000 with 10 National event
wins to his credit. He is also a two-time winner of the Perris Oval Nationals
and the Western World Nationals at Manzanita. In addition, Kaeding has
two victories in the Sprint Car portion of the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora.
Last year Kaeding scored second place in both the National Sprint Car Series
and the Silver Crown Series. The newly formed team will be backed by Team ASE
as the prominent sponsor. Leffler Racing and Bud Kaeding will run the entire
National Sprint Car Series, looking for the first title for both.
"I
feel it will be a great fit and I am very eager to start the 2005 racing
season," said an excited Kaeding on his association with Leffler Racing
and Team ASE.
Jason Leffler was a multi-time Midget Champion before steeping up to the
NASCAR ranks in 2000. He has raced in all three of NASCAR's national
touring divisions (Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck Series), scoring
victories in both Busch and Truck. Leffler is competing full-time on
the Nextel Cup Circuit in '05, driving the No. 11 FedEx Chevy Monte Carlo for
Joe Gibbs Racing.
"I'm excited to be partnering with BK Motorsports," said
Leffler. "Bud (Kaeding) is a great racer and his on track success
speaks for itself. It means a lot for me to team up with these guys
because I cut my racing teeth competing in the USAC ranks and I wouldn't be
where I am today without having done so. BK Motorsports is a top-notch
organization and I anticipate a lot of success in 2005 and beyond."
