Quotes
Steve Kinser (last win a Lernerville 5-25-99)

“I think the track was in better shape than I’ve seen it here in a long time. It got wide enough where you could run a top or a bottom groove. Usually this thing gets a big old berm right about in the middle, and it makes it tough to move around, but when it’s done like this, it’s a lot of fun to race. Sammy (Swindell) hasn’t been racing with us as much, but when he’s got a good car under him; he’s as tough as anyone out there. This is about the time of year we usually start running good. We really enjoy coming out and running this Eastern swing, and this gets us off to a good start—a lot better than we’ve had the last couple of weeks. I just want to thank
Quaker State, Hoosier Tires, Delco-Remy, Maxim Chassis, and everyone who helps keep us out here in the road, It’s gotten so expensive to try to do this, but it’s because of people like them that we’re able to come out here and run a pretty competitive car.”
