RESTART - No go. Keith Watkins spun in turn four, bringing out the yellow. He refires but has damage to left top wing panel.
Lap 1 & 2 - Brian Brown leads lap one but going into lap two, turn two Brown flips, bringing out the red flag. Brown is reported to be okay after crash. Brown is driving the Casey's General Stores #6 which is being tuned by Davey Whitworth in 2004. Whitworth was with Joey Saldana for the past two seasons. ...Open red flag. That means that mechanics can tune the machines during the track cleanup under red. Tyler Walker is the leader when we restart.
RESTART Lap 2: Tyler Walker leads Steve Kinser, with Tim Shaffer third. As Paul McMahan and Kraig Kinser were battling for fourth off of turn two, Kraig spun sideways and got into the wall. Sammy Swindell got a late piece of the action and ended up on his side. RED FLAG. All drivers okay. Kraig Kinser to work area. Hodgson returns to the race.
RESTART Again Lap 2 - Randy Hannagan, battling with Dollansky, and Jacobs, went low in turn two, hit the berm and flipped. RED FLAG. Randy is not hurt, and will restart. Hannagan is back to Hurricane Chassis after a Rockit experiment. Lasoski is 12th from 17th in one lap scored.
Another RESTART Again Lap 2 - Tyler Walker leads. Steve Kinser 2nd.
Lap 5 - Walker leads in Guy Forbrook's #5, Steve Kinser #11 second, Tim Shaffer #83 third.
Lap 6 - Caution. Daryn Pittman is into the wall. He was running 11th. Pittman is okay. Car taken to work area but cannot be fixed in time.
RESTART Lap 6 - Walker leads Kinser by ten car lengths. Lasoski up to 8th.
Lap 10 - 5, 11. 83, 15, 11h, 7, 2, 35, 20, 7s, 17,
Lap 14 - Walker looks strong but Steve closes in to 5 car lengths in traffic.
Lap 16 - Caution. Saldana stops in turn two. Walker still leads but Kinser was on his butt in traffic. One car between them for the restart. Shaffer is third, Schatz fourth, McMahan fifth. Nine to go.
RESTART Lap 16 - RED FLAG - Brian O'Donnell flipped hard in turn two. O'Donnell is reported to be okay.
RESTART Lap 16 - Randy Hannagan was the lapped car between Steve and Walker. He went to the pits.
Lap 18 - Craig Dollansky pops a right rear tire and hits wall hard in turn one. Dollansky was running seventh. Possible ankle injury for Dollansky after drive line came loose. RED FLAG
RESTART lap 18 - Walker leads, Kinser, Shaffer, Schatz, McMahan, Dean Jacobs, Allard, Lasoski, Sides, and Paulus through the top ten.
Finish - Walker wins riding the rim. Kinser second by a straightaway over Shaffer. Schatz fourth, McMahan fifth. Lasoski sixth from 17th starting.
