Brooke Tatnell changed engines after qualifying, and was unable to compete in Manufacturer's Heat Race action.

Daryn Pittman was running 2nd in his Manufacturers Heat Race when he lost an engine on the last lap. Pittman was able to make repairs in time to run the A-main.

A-main

Lap 1-Danny Lasoski got the jump off of turn 4 to take the lead. Jason Sides took 3rd from Jason Johnson low in 3&4

Lap 4-Traffic. Danny Lasoski's lead 5 carlengths over Tyler Walker

Lap 5-Tyler Walker took the lead from Danny Lasoski low entering turn 1, but Lasoski was able to turn and drive back under Walker to take the lead back exiting turn 2

Lap 7-Tyler Walker went low in 3&4, but couldn't get the lead from Danny Lasoski

Lap 10-Steve Kinser took 4th from Shane Stewart low in 3&4

Lap 11-Steve Kinser got by Jason Sides for 3rd low in 3&4

Lap 12-Shane Stewart got 4th from Jason Sides on the top exiting turn 2

Lap 14-Tyler Walker took the lead from Danny Lasoski low in 1&2, but before they could complete the lap, Kraig Kinser (7th at the time) collided with a lapped car and flipped in turn 2, collecting Shane Stewart (4th at the time) and Daryn Pittman (11th at the time). None of the drivers involved were injured, and only Kinser was unable to restart. Danny Lasoski back to the lead for the restart with 13 laps complete.

Lap 17-Traffic. Danny Lasoski's lead 15 carlengths

Lap 21-Heavy traffic. Danny Lasoski, Tyler Walker, and Steve Kinser (1st-3rd) nose to tail

Lap 23-Tyler Walker took the lead from Danny Lasoski low exiting turn 4

Lap 24-Steve Kinser got by Danny Lasoski for 2nd low exiting turn 4

Lap 25-As the leaders approached heavy traffic, Zach Chappell spun in turn 1, collecting leader Tyler Walker and 2nd place Steve Kinser. Walker was able to restart, despite a severely bent left front radius rod. Danny Lasoski leads for the restart

Lap 28-Tyler Walker, Jason Sides, and Gary Wright race 3 wide for 4th on the frontstretch

Lap 30-Danny Lasoski won by more than a straightaway. Tyler Walker took 5th from Shane Stewart low in 3&4

Quotes Danny Lasoski "We didn't have the fastest car tonight-Steve (Kinser) and Tyler (Walker) were gone after they got by me. It's a shame they got taken out, but sometimes it's better to be lucky than be good. I don't know what happened, but we got really loose after that red flag, and I could hardly get the car down the straightaways. I'm just glad we could come out here to east Texas and put on a good show for everyone that came out tonight, and hopefully we can come back sometime."

Jason Sides "It's not a bad way to start the year. We know that the secret (to winning a championship) is to be consistent, and try to win some races along the way. We just kind of hung around tonight, and caught the breaks to get back up front. I hate to see the leaders get taken out like that. That's just part of racing sometimes."

Travis Rilat "We were pretty good tonight. We're just glad to be a part of this series. I've run with a lot of different organizations, and we're looking at (the Gumout Racing Series) as a challenge. We're going t get to go to some places that we've never been before, and we're going to have some fun and try to run up front every night in the Haulmark car."
