Pup is Big Dog in MOPAR Thunder at Eldora - HD Staff - Rossburg, OH. - August 7, 2004 - Kevin 'The Pup' Huntley earned his biggest career win Saturday night at Eldora Speedway. The USAC National Sprint Car event dubbed MOPAR Thunder at Eldora attracted 68 cars to the ledgendary 1/2-mile high banked dirt track in Western Ohio Saturday night. Sammy Swindell took off his wing and finished second. Huntley raked in $50,000 for the win. The toal purse for the single night race was over $160,000 !!! ...“Sammy’s passed me enough times here,” laughed Huntley, “and I didn’t want him to get me again. I knew it was going to be tough for him to pass me at the end since the track was one lane, and unless I had trouble, it was going to difficult to pass.” (summary)
