Mark Smith shows how tough the locals are at Williams Grove - HD Staff - 10/01/04, Mechanicsburg, PA. - The National Open preliminary feature event Friday night was taken by Mark Smith. Fred Rahmer finished second and Donny Schatz, and Steve Kinser were third and fourth to lock-into the dash for the final on Saturday night. The extremely tough and talented roster of teams forced several top drivers to miss the feature. Brian Paulus, Daryn Pittman, Tim Kaeding, Erin Crocker, Mark Kinser, and Kenny Jacobs were among those who did not qualify for the main event.
