Team MemberStanbrough again in Indiana Sprint Week - Gas City, IN. - July 19, 2006 - Jon Stanbrough expanded his Indiana Sprint week points lead by winning the 30-lap feature Wednesday night at I-69 Speedway. 52 qualifiers were on hand. Stanbrough earns RRS points with Kokomo Indiana Sprint Week triumph. Sweet breaks track record! - HD Staff - July 16, 2006 - Kokomo, IN. ...Jon Stanbrough further established himself as the world's premier non-wing short track sprint car racer Sunday night at Kokomo Speedway. Stanbrough ripped around Brad Sweet on Lap 17 of the 30-lap event – diving down on the inside of the track and holding off Bryan Clauson as the three fought for the lead on the backstretch. After fending off Clauson and a multitude of others, Stanbrough roared by the flag stand by nearly a half straightaway to become USAC’s most victorious driver in series competition in 2006. Stanbrough Outruns Terre Haute KISS Field Earns Second Crown - July 1, 2006, Terre Haute, IN. -- Jon Stanbrough doesn't like to do things by half-measures. While he would have secured his second King of Indiana Sprint Series championship by simply taking the green flag in the main event at the Terre Haute Action Track, instead he led every lap, thoroughly dominating the big finale. Shane Cottle finished two seconds behind, followed by Brad Sweet, Jon Sciscoe and Mitch Wissmiller. After the victory ceremonies, Stanbrough explained what winning a second KISS title meant to him. “I’ve won a few championships here and there and never repeated,” he said. “It’s really exciting to be a two-time champion and even more exciting to have gotten the most wins in the series. Stanbrough wins USAC National Sprint at Lawrenceburg - HD Staff - Lawrenceburg, IN. 04/22/06 - Jon Stanbrough passed Bud Kaeding on the final lap Saturday night to win the USAC National Sprint Car feature event at Lawrenceburg Speedway.
